On the Egyptian coast of the Mediterranean Sea these traditional rugs are made by beduin women in their houses and in small factories being supported by the Egyptian government. The rugs are made from local sheep wool and washed and spun by hand. We honor the traditional motifs from this area and let them shine in natural colors. Each rug is made by narrow 60 cm panels that are stitched together by hand in wool.
